Trick


Police are appealing for witnesses after two boys were robbed while trick-or-treating on Hallowe'en.


The youngsters were with two other friends in Shanklin Drive, South Knighton, Leicester, when they were approached by four youths - three of whom were wearing masks - on dark bikes.


The group threatened two of the trick-or-treaters,one who was aged 12, demanded they hand over their mobile phones and searched their pockets.


They made off with a HTC mobile and a black Samsung Galaxy mobile and a black Tigers rugby bag with the Tigers motif shield on it.


They then cycled off along Shanklin Drive towards Carisbrooke Road.


The incident happened at about 6.30pm on October 31. Police have only just released the information.


Police described the suspects as Asian, aged between 16 and 17, of medium build and wearing hooded tops with the hoods pulled up over their heads and dark trousers or jogging bottoms.


One of them was about 5ft 6in with short dark hair styled flat against his head. He wore rectangular-shaped glasses and spoke with a local accent.


The second was slightly shorter and was wore a grey half-skull mask and a black and white chequered scarf covering his mouth


The third was between 5 ft 5in and 5ft 7in and wore a mask which just revealed his eyes.


The fourth suspect wore a skull mask.


Investigating officer PC Aimee Farmer said: 'This was a callous crime against children who were taking part in Halloween.


'The people who have committed this crime have no regard for the effect their actions will have on the victims and we need to identify them.'
