FINNISH PHONE MAKER Nokia's Lumia 1320 smartphone is seemingly set for a UK release, with the handset having gone up for pre-order.
Nokia is yet to cough on whether the Lumia 1320 will see a release in the UK, although its holding page for the phablet insists that it is 'coming soon.'
Adding weight to this, UK retailer Mobicity has started taking pre-orders for the affordable Nokia Lumia 1520 alternative. You can order the Lumia 1320 from the retailer now, for the sum of £278.99 SIM free.
Perhaps most interestingly is the fact that, despite Nokia's lack of confirmation of a UK release, the retailer is promising to ship the handset within three working days. We've been in touch to try and confirm this.
So, what are you getting for your money? The Nokia Lumia 1320 is essentially a budget phablet device, touting a 6in 720x1280 display and a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processo, a downgrade from the quad-core chip found inside the more-expensive Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone.
Unsurprisingly the phone runs Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system, which equips the phone with the usual assortment of apps such as Nokia Camera, Music and Here maps.
The Nokia Lumia 1320 also features 1GB RAM, 8GB storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 3,400mAh battery, which according to Nokia will provide enough juice for over 20 hours of constant talk time.
While that all sounds well and good, speculation has suggested that Nokia has two new large screen smartphones in the pipeline, which could be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) next month. ยต
