If you've been holding back from updating your older iOS device due to your iOS 6 jailbreak, the good news is the wait is over. The Evad3rs team has released an untethered evasi0n7 jailbreak, and it's compatible with previous generation devices as well as those with the newer A7 processors.
For the uninitiated, an iOS jailbreak will allow users to gain full control of the operating system, allowing installation of unapproved programs and tweaks that are not found in the Apple App Store.
Before you begin the process, it's recommended that you back up your device in iTunes and make a full restore before applying the jailbreak. This is especially important for those who have previously used the official OTA update process.
