He's already predicted the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date for 23 February, and now Eldar Murtazin is saying that the iPhone 6 release date could be June.

Another good news. Next gen iPhone possibly will be on market in June. Shorter cycles for the whole industry

Eldar Murtazin has got good form with Samsung release dates, correctly predicting the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S4 last year, so there's every reason to believe that he's nailed the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date. It also gives us more confidence that he knows what he's talking about when it comes to the iPhone 6, which may actually be called the iPhone Air.

According to Mertazin, the iPhone 6 release date would mean shorter product cycles. Apple traditionally releases a new smartphone once a year, but this would mean that the iPhone 6 would come nine months after the iPhone 5S.

There are several reasons why this might happen. First, the iPhone 6 is set to have a larger screen than the iPhone 5S. For this reason, Apple could happily sell the iPhone 6 side-by-side with the iPhone 5S, giving its customers a choice of screen sizes. In this scenarios we could see the iPhone 6 being called the iPhone Air in order to distinguish it from the current model.

Secondly, the competition is hotting up and Apple needs to fight back. With Samsung seemingly releasing the Galaxy S5 a little earlier than expected this year, Apple may also need to shift forwards its release schedule.

We may in fact see the iPhone 6 for the first time a little earlier than June, as that's when Murtazin's Tweet says the phone will hit the market. This would most likely mean that Apple would unveil the phone at an event in May 2014. We'll bring you more details as we have them.
